Greetings from the Chairman

????.jpgKeiei Doyukai was established in 1962, which was the dawn of the era of Japan’s full-fledged economic upturn after the war, with the aim of acquiring knowledge and skills necessary to respond to changes in the economic conditions, expanding businesses, and creating leeway for a “playful mind” through exchange between and development of young owner-entrepreneurs to contribute to the development of the Japanese economy.

Ever since its inception, our association has experienced favorable and adverse circumstances, from the high economic growth of the Japanese economy to the first and second oil crises, the bubble economy and long-term slump after burst of the bubble, and revival after the ten lost years. At the different points in time, we have strived to carry out activities according to the purpose of inauguration to achieve what we are today.
Japan is now facing an era of major transition, where changes in the industrial structure are taking place, such as due to the rapid spread of globalization and information revolution, acceleration of demographic aging, as well as the rise of China. The existing economic and social systems now stand at a critical juncture, and the conditions of business operation have also become tougher. It is during such an era that we have to demonstrate flexible thinking and take speedy actions with a bold and challenging entrepreneur spirit.

Despite the difficult times, we were able to launch new businesses with our own hands, open new horizons, and build companies. It is crucial that we hand down this spirit to future generations, and we believe our association now has a greater reason for existence as well as a more vital role to play than before.

In addition to relocating the deteriorating Metropolitan Expressway to deep underground so as to improve the urban environment above the ground, our association is also currently involved in making policy recommendations for projects to develop regional bases together with the development of ramps along the Metropolitan Expressway. We will continue to make policy recommendations that may provide similar contributions to the society, and promote activities that may produce a positive impact on the economy.
